The UK calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to sign a peace agreement as soon as possible, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said in parliament, Olaylar informs.
"Azerbaijan and Armenia have announced the completion of negotiations on a historic peace agreement. We welcome this important step and call on both sides to begin signing it as soon as possible," Lammy said.
Last week the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the completion of negotiations on the text of the draft Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Baku and Yerevan.
