Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and UKchr("39")s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, David Lammy, have discussed bilateral cooperation, regional developments, and the current state of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in a phone call.
The UK official extended his congratulations on the occasion of the Novruz holiday and expressed confidence in the continued development of relations between the two countries.
Minister Bayramov provided an update on the regional situation and the peace process, emphasizing the necessity of amending the Armenian constitution to eliminate territorial claims against Azerbaijan as a prerequisite for signing the peace agreement, despite the completion of negotiations on the text. He also stressed the importance of dissolving the now-irrelevant OSCE Minsk Group and its related structures.
The ministers further exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest.
