NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had a telephone conversation, Rutte said in a post on X platform, APA reports.
The Secretary-General stated that to deter and defend NATO have to stay strong, united, and ready: "And that’s what NATO is doing every day."
"Looking forward to working with you to further ramp up defence spending and defence production for a strong alliance," Mark Rutte added.
