Russia's fundamental approaches to Syria are not changing - this is unwavering support for unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bogdanov told journalists following talks between the Russian delegation and the head of the Syrian administration, Ahmad al-Sharaa, APA reports quoting TASS.
"Naturally, we emphasized our fundamental approaches, which do not change - this is the unwavering support for the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria. This is the most important thing. The fact that Syria has been going through in recent years, and the fact that there was a change of leadership in such a dramatic way, does not change our assessments and our readiness to help stabilize the situation in order to find adequate solutions to socio-political, socio-economic problems," he said.
