The conference titled Decolonization: The Awakening of Renaissance is being hosted in Istanbul, Türkiye, organized by Baku Initiative Group, APA’s Türkiye correspondent reports.
The damage caused by French colonial policy to certain regions is discussed within the framework of the conference.
BIG Executive Director Abbas Abbasov, delivering speech during the opening ceremony of the conference noted that the event is of special importance as he emphasized Group achieving important achievements in this direction as well. The ongoing struggles against France's colonial policy in different regions of the world are also being discussed in the panels held within the conference.
Note that the conference organized by the Baku Initiative Group that’s going to be hosted for two day, convened 50 representatives from 13 countries and four international organizations, including delegates from French colonies such as New Caledonia, French Polynesia, French Guiana, Martinique, and Guadeloupe.
