On January 21, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, at the latter’s request in Davos, reports APA's correspondent on assignment in Davos.
The German Chancellor was interested in the progress of the investigations into the plane crash.
The meeting recalled with satisfaction the previous meetings and discussions between the President of Azerbaijan and Olaf Scholz.
During the conversation, views were exchanged on bilateral relations, as well as the prospects for developing Azerbaijan's cooperation with the European Union, and issues of mutual interest were discussed.
The Chancellor expressed Germany's support for efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
