The Western Azerbaijan Community has issued a statement regarding the publication of a letter, regarding extraordinary evidence confirming that Armenia's state policy is racist, criminal against humanity and peace, addressed to the UN Secretary-General as official documents of the UN General Assembly and Security Council, the Community told APA.
The publication of the letter as official documents of the UN's supreme bodies is of great importance in terms of establishing Armenia's responsibility for the aforementioned crimes at the international legal level.
"The Western Azerbaijan Community continues its efforts to bring this issue to the attention of regional organizations and international non-governmental organizations presenting themselves as defenders of human rights, along with the UN," the statement said.
Note that the letter in question was related to the well-known speech given by Levon Ter-Petrosyan as the President of Armenia in 1993.
Recall that in that speech, Levon Ter-Petrosyan confirmed that ethnic cleansing and occupation were Armenia's state policy and called the expulsion of Azerbaijanis from Armenia a historic achievement.
