Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the Russian president has confirmed that Russian figure skaters were on board of the plane that crashed in Washington D.C., APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
The Kremlin official expressed condolences to the families and relatives of those who were killed in the crash: "We see that this sad information has been confirmed. There were also other compatriots of ours on board. Bad news came from Washington. We express our condolences to the families and loved ones of our compatriots who have lost their lives."
Peskov also stated that there are currently no plans for contact between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump after the plane crash.
