According to data as of the beginning of this year, the loan portfolio of banks operating in Azerbaijan amounted to 27 billion 477.7 million manats.
Yeniavaz.com reports with reference to official data, over the past month, the loan portfolio of banks has increased by 0.4% or 109.5 million manats.
It should be noted that the structure of the loan portfolio of banks is as follows:
Business loans - 53.8% (14 billion 787.2 million manats);
Consumer loans (to the population) - 30.7% (8 billion 445 million manats);
Mortgage loans - 15.5% (4 billion 245.5 million manats).
It should also be noted that over the past year, the banks' loan portfolio increased by 4 billion 294.7 million manats, including business loans by 2 billion 170.4 million manats, consumer loans by 1 billion 508 million manats, and mortgage loans by 616.4 million manats.
The share of overdue debt in the total loan portfolio (including non-bank financial institutions and credit unions) decreased by 0.3 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 1.5%.
