Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk's statement about the necessity for Armenia to choose between the European Union (the EU) and the Eurasian Economic Union (the EEU) is based on the laws of economics, it was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the briefing held by her, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
"Therefore, it is not entirely correct to discuss whether the foreign ministers of the two countries reached a compromise in this context during the recent negotiations. However, the issue can be viewed from the perspective of Overchuk's political statements," the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson emphasized.
