Head of Belarus CEC: No complaints from candidates or citizens during elections

Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Igor Karpenko stated that there were no complaints or serious criticisms regarding the course of the presidential elections from candidates or citizens, APA reports citing Belarus-1 TV channel.

"In my opinion, the elections were held in accordance with current legislation. There were no complaints or any serious criticisms from either candidates or citizens addressed to the Central Election Commission," Karpenko said on the air of the Belarus-1 TV channel .

According to him, some complaints and suggestions may still be received after the elections. "We can state that we approached the closure of the polling stations with the fact that there were no abnormal situations, no problematic issues that could have affected the course of the expression of the will of citizens or created any difficulties, in general, we did not find any," the head of the CEC said.
