"There is no negative attitude towards French culture in Azerbaijan. Studies about France is important," Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations, said in a statement to journalists at an International Conference organized by the AIR Center in Baku on the topic of "France and the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict", APA reports.
He said that the Armenian diaspora is not the only cause of the crisis in bilateral relations:
"It is true that the role of the Armenian diaspora in this factor is somewhere around 60-70 percent. What regrets me is that France is fueling Armenian revanchism and openly providing it with serious support. Official Paris clearly and openly declares that it supports Armenia. They do not even hide the fact that they are supplying official Yerevan with weapons and ammunition."
