Last year, trade transactions worth 6 billion 929 million 83 thousand US dollars occurred between Azerbaijan and the CIS countries, Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the information, this is 7.9% more than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, trade transactions with the CIS countries accounted for 31.24% of the country's total trade turnover.
During this period, the value of Azerbaijan's trade turnover in descending order was 4 billion 799 million 819 thousand US dollars with Russia (10.1% more than a year ago), 459 million 619 thousand US dollars with Ukraine (29.9% more), 383 million 713 thousand US dollars with Turkmenistan (50.4% less), 506 million 171 thousand US dollars with Belarus (41.9% more), 470 million 442 thousand US dollars with Kazakhstan (49.7% more), 252 million 56 thousand US dollars with Uzbekistan (40.9% more), 40 million 64 thousand US dollars with Kyrgyzstan (38.3% less), 10 million 100 thousand US dollars with Moldova (34.3% less), 7 million 93 thousand US dollars with Tajikistan (15.8% more).
In one year, the value of Azerbaijan's exports to the CIS countries increased by 2.73% and amounted to 1 billion 698 million 415 thousand US dollars.
During this period, Azerbaijan exported products worth 1 billion 178 million 347 thousand US dollars to Russia (1.5% less than the previous year), 177 million 242 thousand US dollars to Ukraine (49.4% more), 80 million 242 thousand US dollars to Turkmenistan (6.8% less), 48 million 486 thousand US dollars to Belarus (52.4% more), 133 million 116 thousand US dollars to Kazakhstan (35.1% more), 40 million 340 thousand US dollars to Uzbekistan (14.3% less), 29 million 663 thousand US dollars to Kyrgyzstan (50% less), 5 million 122 thousand US dollars to Moldova (50% less), and 5 million 853 thousand US dollars to Tajikistan (17% more).
The CIS countries accounted for 6.40% of the country's total exports, including Russia 4.44%, Ukraine 0.67%, Turkmenistan 0.30%, Belarus 0.18%, Kazakhstan 0.50%, Uzbekistan 0.15%, Kyrgyzstan 0.11%, Moldova 0.02%, and Tajikistan 0.02%.
Last year, the value of Azerbaijan's imports from the CIS countries increased by 9.7% and amounted to 5 billion 230 million 668 thousand US dollars.
During this period, Azerbaijan imported products worth 3 billion 621 million 472 thousand US dollars from Russia (14.5% more), 282 million 377 thousand US dollars from Ukraine (20.09% more), 303 million 471 thousand US dollars from Turkmenistan (55.9% less), 457 million 685 thousand US dollars from Belarus (40.9% more), 337 million 326 thousand US dollars from Kazakhstan (56.4% less), 211 million 716 thousand US dollars from Uzbekistan (60.8% more), 10 million 401 thousand US dollars from Kyrgyzstan (84.4% more), 4 million 978 thousand US dollars from Moldova (3.05% less), and 1 million 240 thousand US dollars from Tajikistan (10.4% more).
CIS countries accounted for 24.84% of the country's total imports, including Russia 17.20%, Ukraine 1.34%, Turkmenistan 1.44%, Belarus 2.17%, Kazakhstan 1.60%, Uzbekistan 1.01%, Kyrgyzstan 0.05%, Moldova 0.02%, and Tajikistan 0.01%.
